Gameplay focuses on weighty combat focusing on dodging and counter attacking. An important part of the combat is knocking the enemy into the air, continuous attacks will keep enemies in the air rendering them powerless.

The game is level-based, each is its own seperate story focusing on an objective to complete. Players do not level up their character but instead unlock weapons, perks and skills that they can choose from before starting the level.

Players choose from a combination of perks, weapons and skills. These have a number of interesting synergies which will greatly affect the way you play. By combining these you effectively decide your role in the party: tank, dps or utility. This will be especially important for completing harder difficulties.
